How To Make Your Locker The Bomb.com

Honestly I am shook that I am talking about school right now! Usually I am the last person in the entire universe that honestly wants to think about school! But, with summer ending and school coming right before our eyes I thought that I would give you a little insider to what's trending for locker decor. Personally I feel that I have somewhat of a good idea of what looks cute in a locker only because I DIY'ed a couple cute locker novelties last year for my locker and just as I was walking into target the other day I saw that my ideas from last year are now being sold in stores! Obviously I'm not making profit off of any of it because I had no idea they were going to sell these ideas. Below I have organized steps on how I create my locker which is an essential for me, and might be for you as well.

Step 1: Categorize Your Supplies

The easiest way to start decorating your locker is actually buying supplies! I recommend going to your local Target, Office Max/Office Depot, Walmart or any store similar to find school supplies. To give your locker more space I would at least grab one locker shelf if not two. Locker shelves are a must for keeping your locker organized and an easy grab and go from class to class. Another way to keep your locker clutter free is to grab a couple of magnetic bins or pencil cases. This way you know where everything is and your supplies will look nicer and stay neater as well.

Step 2: Prettify your locker! aka Decorate!!

There are many different ways you can decorate a locker. From rugs, to chandeliers to even magnetic unicorn heads! Crazy right? Anyways before I decorate my locker, I like to sit down and draw out a blueprint of it to see everything that I NEED, and then put in everything that I WANT. Some easy ways to decorate your locker are buying mirrors, chandeliers, and rugs. But I don't spend all this time drawing out a blueprint to just get the basic stuff at target for $9.99. If I'm going to decorate my locker, I am going to decorate it the right way! Some things that are big trends in decor right now are, fairy lights, succulent plants, gallery wall art, and the color white. So I thought, why not combine all of that into mini versions for a locker? I mean they look good in a bedroom, so why wouldn't they look good in a locker? The best thing about fairy lights is that 9 times out of 10 they are battery operated, so you don't have to worry about an outlet. Having succulent plants is hard to take care of especially at school... when they are real! A cute and easy DIY for your locker would be to find a mini pot with a flat backing and DIY your own succulent plant. They are super easy and very affordable to make. Gallery wall art is usually very big and consumes more than one size of a picture. An easy way to make a gallery wall in your locker is to measure the size of a Polaroid picture and reference to that size for all of the wall art you choose to put in your locker. Other items that would look cute in a locker are, mini hanging wall mirrors, mini hanging clocks, mini calendars, and even a mini flower bouquet!

Step 3: My go-to essentials!

Being in school all day basically means, that you're trapped inside a building for 8 hours, luckily with food and water. But sometimes, you need a little more than just food and water to get you through the day! Well, at least I do. With my essentials, I usually keep them separated into three different makeup bags. The first bag has school supplies containing, extra pencils, markers, tape etc. The second bag usually travels with me at all times. This bag is my makeup bag! I like to have a makeup bag full of cosmetics left at my house and then one kept at school. This way I don't have to worry about accidentally dropping my backpack or forgetting it at my house. The third and final bag is my must-have essentials. In this bag I keep

-deodorant

-bobby pins

-pads/tampons

-mini hair brush

-hair ties

-band-aids

-travel size perfume/lotion

-kleenex

-motrin/advil

-mints/gum

-lint roller

-chapstick

-extra mascara

-healthy snacks

-mini hand sanitizer

-toothbrush

-tide to-go sticks

basically I keep everything in this bag because I most likely need one thing out of it at least once a day. You can usually find travel size makeup bags anywhere. I prefer to get mine at Target or at Forever 21 because not only are they cheap, but they are also super cute. Last but not least, it is always a good idea to stick an extra sweater or jacket in your locker. You never know when its gonna be freezing in one of your classes! I like to keep my jackets folded in a bin at the bottom of my locker.
